A straight lined pattern created by using dragging brush (used in graining and broken colour techniques).


Drop Pattern

A term relating to wallpaper where the pattern  is not repeated on a horizontal line.

Drying Time

The interval of time between the application and final cure of a coat of paint or varnish. (see Dust Dry, Surface Dry/Touch Dry, Hard Dry/Through Dry).


Dust Dry

The interval of time from when the paint or varnish coating is first applied to the time when it is resistant to dust particles in the atmosphere.


Dust sheet

For the protection of flooring and immovable items.


Eaves

The lowest point where the roof rafters extend and overhang the top course of brickwork.


Emery Paper

An Abrasive paper based on an aluminum oxide surface and bonded onto a fabric backing.

Ideal for use on metalwork to remove corrosion and to polish a metal surface.


Epoxy Paint

A two pack coating which is highly resistant to wear and chemical attack.
