Natural or synthetic material used in paints, varnishes – Film Formers, binders, vehicle.


Resinous Timber

Wood which contains resin in the cells which exudes through the applied coatings.


Respirators

Safety breathing masks or apparatus worn to protect operator from dust, fumes, airborne volatiles or other hazards.


Retardant

An substance which slows down the drying of paint and varnish coatings. Often used when graining to improve the setting time
It is also added to retard the drying of plasters and concrete.
 


Reversible Tip

An airless spray tip mounted in a reversible housing to facilitate the clearing of blockages
