Neutralising
Counteracting acids or alkalis left on a surface after pre-treatment or originating from building materials.
Nibs:
Small pieces of material such as dry paint skin or coagulated binder which give a course finish, (see Bittiness).
Non-Convertible Coating:
A paint film which although dry is soluble when in contact with the solvent which was contained in the original product e.g. chlorinated rubber.
