The end vertical posts to a staircase

Small pieces of material such as dry paint skin or coagulated binder which give a course finish, (see Bittiness).

A paint film which although dry is soluble when in contact with the solvent which was contained in the original product e.g. chlorinated rubber.

One which when exposed to the air has no or little drying properties.

Metals such as zinc and copper which contain no iron.

The portion of a paint which is left after the evaporation of the solvents.

A measure referring to the amount of oil which is absorbed by pigments under standard test conditions.
